in用作介詞：

　　1、表示在某范圍或者空間內(nèi)的某一點(diǎn)，常譯作“在……內(nèi)/里面”。如：The story happened in Sichuan Province.故事發(fā)生在四川省內(nèi)。You can see thousands of stars twinkling in the sky.你會看到成千上萬顆星星在空中閃耀。

　　2、表示在某物的形體或范圍中，常譯作“在……內(nèi)，在……中”。如：She was still lying in bed at eight this morning.今天早上八點(diǎn)鐘時(shí)她還在被窩里躺著。He was so hurried that he left the key in the lock.他是如此地匆忙，竟把鑰匙忘在鎖里面了。

　　3、表示構(gòu)成的整體/局部，包含……在內(nèi)。如：All the paintings in his collection were bought in Japan.他收藏的所有的畫都是在日本買的。We can clearly recognize his farther in him.在他身上我們可以清楚地看到他父親的影子。

　　4、表示在某段時(shí)間以后，后面接表示一段時(shí)間的名詞短語。如：We’ll return in a few days.我們幾天后就回來。

　　Mom will be well again in three weeks’ time.媽媽三周后就會好的。

　　5、表示穿著，戴著。如：

　　He was dressed in a dark suit at the funeral.葬禮上他穿者一套深色西服。

　　The lady in white was in charge of the company.那位白衣女子掌管著這家公司。

　　6、用于描述具體的環(huán)境。如：

　　Now they are still standing in the rain.他們現(xiàn)在還在雨中站著呢。

　　They could see nothing in the darkness.黑暗中他們什么也看不見。

　　7、表示所處狀態(tài)或狀況或表示正在進(jìn)行的動(dòng)作。如：

　　I bought the car ten years ago, yet it is still in good condition.我這輛車是十年前買的，現(xiàn)在仍然很好。
